Her story didn’t begin in a cockpit, but on an ordinary fternoon, when at 16 she told her mother she wanted to be a pilot. She didn’t speak of it as an impossible dream, but as a decision. Today, she pilots an Airbus A330 and, between flights, has become a fresh voice in aviation. Savina literally lives among suitcases, terminals, and airports – but always with her own style. “If I travel 900 hours ayear, I need something that won’t fail me midconnection in Doha,” she jokes. And she adds, “A pilot recommending a suitcase is like a chef recommending a knife – you know they’ve put their fingers on the line many times.”

Being a woman in aviation still carries a hint of rebellion, which Savina accepts without drama. “It’s not about proving anything, it’s about flying well,” she says. But she knows visibility matters.
