TRICK OR TREAT?
“FOR ME A GLADIATORTRAVELLER IS SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO EAT THE WORLD, VISIT IT, LIVE IT, TRAVEL IT.
Houda Derraz has character. She has a lot of character. In fact it has French and Moroccan character. This is another explosive mix that exudes creativity and desire to squeeze life. She dreams of traveling. She says she wants to. And already has her Gladiator ready to start.
For now, the first trips have been to music festivals. Her first destination has been the Wireless Festival at London’s Finsbury Park. Her favorite group The Weeknd and his favorite music is hip hop and trap.
“Now I’m a responsible skater, if I hurt myself I have big problem” And that’s because Houda studies to be a shop window designer and works at the same time. She cannot take risks, but the passion for skateboarding is stronger and then she has passion for fashion. His motto: “every day an outfit” and hang it on Instagram. Our question: How do you combine nails with manicure and skate? There we left it ;-P
“I have been tricking since I was 15. When I jump the world stops”
Sergi Krikov is 21 years old, from a Russian father and a Ukrainian mother, he has always had the need to travel and discover the world. He has visited the countries of his parents (Russia and Ukraine) and also France, Uzbekistan, Korea, Dubai and Austria.
As we speak Sergi makes a “hook” followed by a “720 turn” that ends with a “kick the moon and falls”, standing, without losing balance.
This is tricking. A discipline inheriting martial arts that focuses on performing tricks and aerial acrobatics. It would be like the urban and modern version of the floor exercises of rhythmic gymnastics. Put the body to the limit and defy gravity.
This technique combines it with the “Street Stunts”, that is, he performs these acrobatic jumps of “Urban Gymnastics” taking advantage of the architecture. His stage is the streets, squares, skate parks of the cities.
In his travels he never forgets his camera. Last year he finished his photography studies. He started with the self-portrait and right now he loves lifestyle photography and Photoshop. “For me, a good photo is that one that the person who sees it gets amazed, that photograph they ask you: How did you do it?”
In fact, practicing tricking and taking pictures he met Houda years ago. And she got hooked on acrobatics and got injured. Now She has left it and prefers to get on a skateboard. “On wheels much better, it’s safer,” he jokes. But the urban and street spirit is carried inside. That unites them and has made them friends.
Sergi i Houda jump and skate with Gladiator’s TRICK collection.
