DIGITAL NOMADS: when working becomes a great trip

Why not work from an incredible destination?

Jordi Albert was clear about it. If I can work from Bali, why do it in my apartment overlooking the 4th floor?

In a world where routine is a thing of the past and the office has become more virtual than ever, a modern tribe of digital adventurers emerges, challenging norms and writing their own rules. This geography student turned digital marketing enthusiast, a basketball fan, felt the calling almost without realizing it.

“I’ve always liked to travel and

immerse myself in new cultures.”

I’ve had on-site jobs. During the pandemic, the company I was with granted the possibility of working 100% remotely, and I decided to settle for a while in El Hierro (Canary Islands).

There, Jordi experienced the freedom of remote work: working with the computer by the pool, answering calls with a cocktail in hand, surfing between meetings.

“How could I go back to the office?

I left everything, the job, the apartment, and bought a ticket to Bali (with no return).”

I founded my company No Look Back. After many years of training and getting to know the market, from Bali, I completed the Master’s in Expertise in Online Traffic Generation, or as it is known in this world, I became a Trafficker, a Trafficker traveler (joking) ;-P

The art of working from anywhere

“My office is the world, and my schedule is as flexible as my lifestyle” Jordi tells us from a lounge chair on a paradise beach while we talk on Zoom. Inspired by the growing wave of digital nomads, he embarked on the adventure with the determination not to look back, hence the name of his company: NO LOOK BACK.

“Life is lived better when you don’t limit yourself to four walls. A bit of advice: you have to put protection on your
passport. It wears out a lot when you really travel.”

His philosophy is simple: life is too short to live it on autopilot. With his camera, laptop, and the NOMADTEC suitcase,

Jordi embodies the freedom to create your own path and embrace the surprises that travel offers. “I only need my computer in my suitcase, which is great for work and fun. I have the compartment for work and space for clothes.
And I also need internet connection, of course.”

And now, where to?

In Jordi’s words: “You have to choose the destination based on internet speed sometimes” (he smiles). Korea and Indonesia are the next destinations in the short or medium term, in 2024, but he is reluctant to leave Bali and is considering buying a sustainable apartment in a community.
Perhaps I will visit nomad friends in Singapore, Beijing, or Australia.
